According to Brad Campbell he started using inhalants, various drugs, tobacco, and alcohol at the age of fourteen. Living in an alcoholic home he knew all too well the dangers of alcohol and drug use: “but that didn’t seem to slow down my use or progressive addictive lifestyle says Brad.”
“By the time I was eighteen years old I was a full-blown alcoholic having attended my first A.A. meeting at the age of fifteen. I was a functioning alcoholic as far as my job went (meaning I was always able to hold down steady employment) but seemed to have a problem with blacking out then driving. I know I had six car accidents where I am very fortunate (by the grace of God) to be alive today. On January 16, 1996, the Lord allowed me to see my life for exactly what it was. The Lord gave me a moment of clarity, he opened my blind eyes to my addiction. That night I knelt beside my bed and asked God to remove my alcoholism, and that’s exactly what he did. I have not had a drink since that day, God had removed the compulsion to drink. I dove into 12 step recovery of all types, helping myself and helping others.
Over the past 25 years Brad has served in recovery ministries of all types and he answered the call to preach in 2003. Brad has served as a recovery director, addictions counselor, recovery pastor, pastor of recovery ministries, associate pastor, and lead pastor. Within these ministries he has helped to start recovery groups and build recovery centers.
Just recently his team has launched a new endeavor over social media called, Freedom Drive Worldwide Ministries.
Brad is “looking forward to seeing a movement of people coming out of addictions.” As one can see, Brad has had an awesome opportunity to help others find freedom from a lifestyle of addictions and find a new life in Christ. He is excited about what God is going to do in this new season.
Brad and his wife Brandi have been married for 22 years. They are the proud parents of three children and five grandchildren.
Please pray for Reverend Campbell that God Almighty will reveal to him what we need to hear and that Jesus will make our hearts tender and receptive to His word to us.
