Reverend Kennth (Ken) M. Brown is a 1974 graduate of Bethany Nazarene College (SNU) and a 1978 graduate of Nazarene Theological Seminary. He was ordained in 1980 at Durant Church of the Nazarene on the Southeast Oklahoma District. Ken began pastoring at Maryville, MO. on the Kansas City District during his final year at NTS. Additionally, he has served churches on the Southeast Oklahoma, Northeast Oklahoma, South Arkansas, Joplin, New Mexico, and Oklahoma districts. Ken served as District NYPS (now NYI) President for Southeast Oklahoma and several years as Chair of the Ministerial Studies Board in New Mexico, as well as other boards and committees. In 1997 he received the M.A. degree at New Mexico State University and subsequently began a career as a university professor. The last several years, Ken has been a bi-vocational pastor along with teaching until retirement in December 2023. Raised in the Church of the Nazarene, he is 4th generation of his family in the Church of the Nazarene. Ken is married to Jean, a retired elementary special education teacher and ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene. Ken and Jean have 2 adult children (one deceased) and 5 grandchildren.
