Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What are your weekend services like?

Each weekend at LifeSong you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with exciting, contemporary worship music. A printed outline for notes and a large-screen slide presentation help you make the most of the practical and relevant message. Children are well-cared for in a loving, quality nursery and fun filled Naz Kids service.

  2. What will happen when I visit for the first time?

If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for a while—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.

  3. What do I wear to attend your services?

You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our Weekend Services. Come in what is comfortable for you, because LifeSong is not about what you look like or what you wear.

  4. Where are you located?

LifeSong has one location in the city of Durant, Oklahoma at South 9th and Texas St. in southeast Oklahoma but is preparing and planning to launch an online campus and to start a campus in the community of Kingston, Oklahoma. Our vision is to start 10 media campuses over the next ten years. For more information, watch for the campus page.

  5. Do you have a midweek service?

We have a dynamic mid-week service which focuses on worship and Bible study. Our special First Wednesday service includes praise and worship, prayer and communion.

  6. What about my children?

At LifeSong your children are a top priority. Our nursery is clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers. We offer a dynamic children's ministry called Naz Kids as well as life-changing ministry to students from junior high through college.

  7. How can I meet others and get connected?

There are many ways to get involved. You can begin by attending our Church 101 Membership Class. Small groups are another great way to connect. In each of these, you can build friendships, learn more about the life of our church, and have the opportunity to grow in your faith.

  8. How can I be discipled and grow?

Our desire is to see you become a fully devoted follower of Christ. Our training STEPS offers the tools necessary to make this happen in your life. From the initial decision to accept Jesus as your Lord to your involvement in life-changing ministry, we will lead you step-by-step from healing to growth and into leadership. Begin the process at our next Church 101 Membership Class.

  9. Why do you have small groups?

Small groups are an important part of LifeSong; in fact, you haven’t fully experienced the church until you’ve experienced our small groups. Groups allow you to meet other members and develop relationships that will spur your relationship with God. As our church grows, groups allow us to “stay small” and connected. Groups are available for all ages and interests—there’s bound to be one that’s just right for you. Learn more about why we’re big on small groups or find a group to visit in our directory.

  10. How can I get involved in a small group?

One of the easiest things to do at LifeSong is to participate in a small group. Groups meet throughout Durant and surrounding communities and provide a place for Bible study, fellowship, and support. Wherever you live, there’s a small group near you.
