The Church of the Nazarene is the largest denomination in the classical Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. The doctrine that distinguishes the Church of the Nazarene and other Wesleyan denominations from most other Christian denominations is that of entire sanctification. Nazarenes believe that God calls Christians to a life of holy living that is marked by an act of God, cleansing the heart from original sin and filling the individual with love for God and humankind.

We are the Oklahoma District of the Church of the Nazarene, stretching diagonally across the state of Oklahoma from the plains of the panhandle to the hills of the southeast.

The year was 1716. Europe was recovering after the end of the War of Spanish Succession. To celebrate the long-awaited peace, the British determined to recast the captured cannons of the French into new cannons for the English. But a flawed casting process created an explosion at the local foundry, rattling the community to its core and killing or injuring many of the celebrants. For decades, the forge stood cold and abandoned atop Windmill Hill in London—until one winter day when a young John Wesley found himself preaching to a large crowd from the steps of the old building.

The forge soon became the Foundry Church—the birthplace and cradle of a new theology. The Foundry Church grew quickly to more than 1,000 people. The congregation did more than gather on Sunday morning. Members made loans to the needy, provided medical care to the sick, set up a school, and offered housing for widows and orphans. The Foundry Church forged a new way of sharing Christ with the world. This theology of a personal and corporate holiness—a commitment to justice and compassion forged within the Foundry Church—reflects our vision at Nazarene Publishing House.

For more than a century, NPH has served as a foundry of a different sort, setting hot type and pressing ink to paper in order to share a theology of hope and love that transforms culture. The days of lead typesetting are gone, but our purpose to empower transformation remains. Just as, 300 years ago, John Wesley imagined from the steps of a burned-out building how he could more effectively spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, we also have a clear vision: as the world’s leading publisher of Wesleyan-Holiness resources, we are called to give voice to a radically optimistic theology of transformation.

With this in mind, NPH is returning to our beginnings.

The Foundry Publishing—a place where faith is forged.

Apologetics (Defend the Faith, 1 Peter 3:15; Jude 3)

The sole basis of our beliefs is the Bible, God’s infallible written Word, the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments. We believe that it was uniquely, verbally and fully inspired by the Holy Spirit and that it was written without error (inerrant) in the original manuscripts. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters on which it speaks. We accept those areas of doctrinal teaching on which, historically, there has been general agreement among all true Christians. Because of the specialized calling of our movement, we desire to allow for freedom of conviction on other doctrinal matters, provided that any interpretation is based upon the Bible alone, and that no such interpretation shall become an issue which hinders the ministry to which God has called us.

What is Cross Examined? CrossExamined.org is a non-profit ministry started in 2006 that conducts dynamic I Don’t Have Enough Faith to Be An Atheist seminars on college campuses, churches, and high schools. Led by Frank Turek and other Christian apologists, CrossExamined.org exists to address the problem that 3-out-of-4 Christian youth leave the church while in college, many because they are intellectually skeptical. In addition to I Don’t Have Enough Faith to Be An Atheist, CrossExamined.org presenters address other topics faced by young people today.

Who We Are:  Living Waters exists to inspire and equip Christians to fulfill the Great Commission.  Living Waters seeks to train the members of Christ’s Body in the principles of Biblical evangelism and to provide them with practical tools to proclaim the Gospel.

WallBuilders is an organization dedicated to presenting America’s forgotten history and heroes, with an emphasis on the moral, religious, and constitutional foundation on which America was built – a foundation which, in recent years, has been seriously attacked and undermined. In accord with what was so accurately stated by George Washington, we believe that “the propitious [favorable] smiles of heaven can never be expected on a nation which disregards the eternal rules of order and right which heaven itself has ordained.”

Evangelism

Today, men are looking to make a real difference in the world. They desire to live for something greater and deeper. Men are seeking more meaning, belonging, and purpose than any other time in human history. Men are yearning for a more rooted and authentic relationship with God, and to impact their families and communities. This is why we are reigniting the Promise Keepers Movement — THIS IS THE NEW ERA. Help launch a Christ-centered movement to transform the world. Help mobilize men and their families to be the generational catalyst for our culture today.

Vision and Mission Statements

Vision Statement:

Family Research Council's vision is a prevailing culture in which all human life is valued, families flourish, and religious liberty thrives.

Mission of Organization:

Family Research Council's mission is to advance faith, family, and freedom in public policy and the culture from a biblical worldview.

Our Mission

To be led by the Holy Spirit in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with as many people as possible by nurturing and affirming the God-ordained institution of the family and proclaiming biblical truths worldwide.

Our Values

Since Focus on the Family’s primary reason for existence is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through a practical outreach to homes, we have firm beliefs about both the Christian faith and the importance of the family. This ministry is therefore based upon six guiding philosophies that are apparent at every level throughout the organization. These “pillars” are drawn from the wisdom of the Bible and the Judeo-Christian ethic, rather than from the humanistic notions of today’s theorists. In short, Focus on the Family is a reflection of what we believe to be the recommendations of the Creator Himself, who ordained the family and gave it His blessing.

  1. The Preeminence of Evangelism

  2. The Permanence of Marriage

  3. The Value of Children

  4. The Sanctity of Human Life

  5. The Importance of Social Responsibility

  6. The Value of Male and Female

Biblical Advice in Difficult Times. Three YouTube videos featuring Dave Ramsey explaining basic Biblical finance.

All of our statements of faith rest on the authority of the Bible. The interpretation of this authority rest with a majority interpretation of the board. We believe, affirm, and confess the following:

BIBLE is God's word—holy, inspired, inerrant, and the final authority for faith and practice.
(Psalms 119:1-176John 10:352 Timothy 3:16-17Hebrews 4:122 Peter 1:20-21)

GOD is one, holy, good, unchanging, and eternally existent in three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
(Genesis 1:1Deuteronomy 6:4Isaiah 45:5Malachi 3:6Matthew 28:18-19John 10:3017:221 Corinthians 8:4Ephesians 4:6)

JESUS is the eternally begotten, not made, Son of God. He is fully God and fully man. By his perfect obedience and sacrifice on the cross, He became the only Savior of the world for all who would believe in Him as Lord and Savior.
(Isaiah 9:6-753:4-12Matthew 12:21Mark 10:45Luke1:30-359:20John 1:1-141:183:16-1711:2514:62 Corinthians 5:18-21Galatians 4:4Colossians 1:15-191 Timothy 2:3-62 Timothy 1:10Hebrews 4:151 Peter 2:243:18)

HOLY SPIRIT is the third person of the triune God. He is the one who brings forth and life, and spiritual rebirth. Man is utterly dependent upon the Spirit for growth in holiness.

Founded in 1968, National Right to Life is the nation's oldest and largest pro-life organization. National Right to Life is the federation of 50 state right-to-life affiliates and more than 3,000 local chapters. Through education and legislation, National Right to Life is working to restore legal protection to the most defenseless members of our society who are threatened by abortion, infanticide, assisted suicide and euthanasia.

In this important season for our nation, it is imperative as Christians that we pray. While we have a responsibility to vote for biblical values and stand for truth, our priority should always be to seek the Lord first.

Our job is to make the government play by the rules of the Constitution. There are 319 million of us in this country. Imagine what we could accomplish if we actually worked together, presented a united front, and spoke with one voice. Tyranny wouldn't stand a chance. Here at The Rutherford Institute, we believe that the best defense against tyranny is an educated citizenry that knows their rights and is prepared to stand up for them. That's why we continue to sound the alarm over threats to our freedoms and help Americans push back against the government’s heavy-handed tyranny on almost every front Your tax-deductible donation makes it possible for The Rutherford Institute to •sound the alarm over government abuses •push back against the government's power grabs •defend Americans whose rights have been violated •hold the government accountable to abiding by the rule of law, the U.S. Constitution •and educate Americans about what they can do to rein in their runaway government, reclaim their freedoms, and restore justice in America. The Rutherford Institute—nonpartisan, apolitical and committed to the principles enshrined in the Constitution and Bill of Rights—is working tirelessly to reshape the government from the bottom up into one that respects freedom, recognizes our worth as human beings, resists corruption, and abides by the rule of law. Won’t you join the fight to make America free again? OUR HISTORY Founded in 1982 by constitutional attorney and author John W. Whitehead, The Rutherford Institute has become one of the nation's leading advocates of civil liberties and human rights, litigating in the courts and educating the public on a wide spectrum of issues affecting individual freedom in the United States and around the world. The Institute’s mission is twofold: to provide legal services in the defense of civil liberties and to educate the public on important issues affecting their constitutional freedoms. The Institute provides its legal services at no charge to those whose constitutional and human rights have been threatened or violated. The Rutherford Institute is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, gifts to which are deductible as charitable contributions for Federal income tax purposes.

We also believe in commending those companies that act responsibly regarding programs they support. It is AFA’s goal to be a champion of Christian activism. Memorizing Scripture

Biblememory.com provides the premier Bible Memory System for mobile devices and the web.  The Bible Memory App breathes new life into your Bible Memory time by actively engaging three separate cognitive areas:  Audio, Visual, and Kinesthetic (Touch) memory.

The Bible Memory.com website is a free service of Millennial Apps, LLC.

Create an account and log-in and search for "Top Verses to Memorize" and make it your plan.
